Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use CareerDuel, you may upload a resume, LinkedIn PDF, or profile screenshot. If you create an account, we store your name, email, and authentication details via Google OAuth. We also collect the name, email, and message you provide through our contact form. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

How we use your data

Your resume is sent to our AI agents for analysis. It is processed in memory, never written to disk, and permanently deleted the moment your report is generated. We do not store, sell, or share your resume data with anyone.

Incognito Mode

CareerDuel offers an Incognito Mode that provides an additional layer of privacy:

• In-memory processing: Your resume is analyzed in memory and never persisted to any database.
• Browser-only storage: Your full report is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We save nothing to our servers.
• Zero server retention: When you close the tab or clear your browser data, the report is permanently gone.

Incognito Mode is available on every plan and can be toggled on the analysis page before uploading your resume.

Data retention

• Resumes: Deleted immediately after analysis. Zero retention.
• Reports (authenticated users): Stored securely in our database so you can access your analysis history. You can request deletion at any time.
• Reports (Incognito Mode): Stored only in your browser's localStorage. We do not keep a copy.
• Account data: Name, email, and plan information are stored for as long as your account is active.
• Contact form messages: Retained only to respond to your inquiry, then deleted.

Third-party services

We use third-party AI models to analyze resumes and generate reports. Your data is sent to these services solely for processing and is not retained by them beyond the request lifecycle, in accordance with their data processing agreements. We also use Firebase for authentication and Razorpay for payment processing.

Your rights

If you have an account, you can request deletion of your analysis history and account data at any time. If you used Incognito Mode, your data exists only in your browser — clearing your browser data removes it permanently.
